Our Crew

Captain Andrew has a USCG 50-Ton Master License with a towing assistance endorsement. He was born in Key West Florida, and has been on the water his entire life. He has been in hospitality for 5 years and will cater the charter to suit guests wants and needs. Captain Andrew has extensive experience fishing and spearfishing the waters off Marathon. Having lived in Marathon for nearly 10 Years his local knowledge of the waters and local weather patterns will ensure a safe and exciting experience. Captain Andrew is dive and first aid certified.

Captain Sheila has a USCG 50-Ton Master License with a  sailing endorsement. She has lived in the Florida Keys for 25 years. She has sailed the US east coast the Florida Keys, Dry Tortugas, and throughout the Bahamas. Captain Sheila is planning a future circumnavigation. She has been in the hospitality industry her entire life and her attention to detail and customer service skills are among the best in the industry. Captain Sheila is dive and first aid certified.

First Mate Ricardo is originally from Cuba, but has been in the United States for over 30 years. Ricardo is in the process of obtaining his Captains license. He was in the Cuban military for Four and a half years. His past military training helps keep Pura Vida's essential systems working flawlessly. He has been in the water his entire life, and is highly skilled in fishing and spearfishing. Ricardo is an excellent swimmer and is dive certified, and has decades of freediving experience.

Taylor is from St, Louis Missouri, and is a new resident in the Florida Keys. She is currently enrolled at Florida International University and is on track to graduate as a physician's assistant. Taylor has been in the hospitality industry for over 5 years and is a master mixologist. Her ability to craft quality cocktails from ingredients found on hand is sure to make your experience fun and exciting. Her skills in food and beverage put her in a position to service your every need during your charter.
